baseball

Do you like baseball? If you said no, I will try to change your mind with my essay. Baseball is my favorite sport and basically the only sport I play.

Base ball has a lot of athleticism, no offence basketball and soccer fans but running back and forth on a court or field, shooting and kicking don’t sound like athleticism to me. Running, swinging, sweating and paying attention does. Baseball has some of the best all around athletes.

Another reason is because baseball is exciting! In the ninth inning at a close game you are really shaking and thinking about every play before it happens. The lights during a night game beat down on you like a summer day in Hawaii, letting you know you are hot, sweaty, tired and want to play your best and then go home. Even if you don’t win a game the entire season, you still are thrilled and excited to be playing.

Last but certainly not least catching behind home plate is thrilling. I love catching, it gets me pumped. The catcher is the center of attention, everyone is looking at you and you are looking at them. I have only tagged three people out in my six years of baseball, but the thrill of catching is unexplainable.

Truly the only bad thing about baseball is leaving after the game is over. After the game it is still on your mind; the plays, the outs and the hits. To be honest they still are now.
