One reason I think football is a heartpounding sport is that there are "lots of awesome moments." The reason i'm saying this is because getting a long run is awesome and fun to watch. Another theory of why I'm saying this is what if you made an interception?! How cool would that be!? Another explanation of why I'm saying this is when you get a fumble recovery, just imagine a dog pile on you, the referees lowing their whistles you pop up screaming holding the ball up in the air. How awesome can it get?!
The second reason why I think football is a heart pounding sport is that it takes teamwork. It can sometimes be hard to be a team player. That's why you have drill instructing coaches. Yah, I'm taling about those ones that yell in tour face telling you to try harder. One more reasn why it tiakes teamwork is when one person fails everyone fails. Let's say your "drill instructing coach" has told you to run around the football field in 5 minutes. Then your coach says "if you're not here in 5 minutes there will be consequences." Your whole team gets back except for one kid. Next thing you know you're running again. Oh yah, it's a teamsport. You are all in it together.
Now I'm going to tell you one final reason why football is a heart pounding sport. It's a blast! Think about it. You or your team is running for a touchdown! Everyone's jumping on each other screaming and you are smiling because you did it. Football is a blast when you make a tackle in the backfield. That's another reason why you are smiling. It's also fun when you catch a touchdown pass. Boy, that would be fun! Also catching a deep pass would be quite fun!
So the next time you flip on the T.V. and your team's down by six with a few seconds left with the ball, keep your eyes o[en because things are about to get exciting!
