Love to Dance

Have you ever been back stage getting ready to perform? Running through my dances is what i normally do. Dance can be very nerve-racking and challenging at times because you have to be technical and sharp. Dance is a wonderful sport i think you should try.


Dance is a fun sport. As you may know, there many types and styles of dance. A few of these are jazz, tap, ballet, point, lyrical, modern, musical show, and hip-hop. In dance there are also many different moves you can do. For example you could do a disk or a barrel out of a fouette or a turn. Some dance studios also offer tumbling classes. In tumbling class, we work on front and back handsprings, aerials, kips, and many other fun and exciting tricks.


When joining a dance and tumbling class you have a chance to meet new friends. At my studio each year, the technique class will have some returning students and some new students. We also have the option of trying out for a competitive dance team that has kids ranging from 5 to 18 years old. At dance competitions it is fun to see old friends that you haven't seen in a while.

Dance is also healthy for you. Dance helps you have stronger muscles and bones. It also decreases the risk of developing type two diabetes. Dance can help you with three elements of fitness. The three elements are endurance, strength and flexibility.


Dance is fun and very good for you and you have a chance to make long lasting friends. Dance is a sport I think you should try. I've got to go! I'm on in two. I hope to see you on stage too.

  2. I love dance I danced almost my whole life but my mom couldn't afford it anymore so I couldn't do it anymore. I love the spotlight so dance is the sport for me!! I think everyone should try it at least once in their lifetime!!
