An opinion essay is a formal piece of writing that states an author's point of view and supports it with reasons and examples. Our essays needed an opening that hooked the reader, 3 strong reasons to back up the opinion with vivid, clear examples and/or facts to support the reasons. Finally, the essay was wrapped up with a conclusion restating our opinion.
